Recipe Of The Day The recipe for 5/20/2012 is EASY CHOCOLATE FUDGE. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

EASY CHOCOLATE FUDGE

Ingredients:
Candies
1 ½ cups [3 sticks butter]
6 cups sugar
1 1/3 cups evaporated milk
2 packages [12 ozs. Each] semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 jar [13 oz.] marshmallow crème
2 cups chopped nuts [optional]
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation:

Lightly grease 2 ( 13x9 inch) or 3 (9-inch) square pans. Mix butter, sugar and milk in heavy 4 to 5 qt. saucepan; bring to full rolling boil on medium heat; stirring constantly.

Continue boiling 5 minutes on medium heat or until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into prepared pans.

Cool and cut into squares. Makes about six (6) pounds.
